dc.description.abstract | Transmural migration of a sponge without symptoms of peritonitis is very rare. We report a case of a retained surgical sponge in the abdominal cavity, which caused intestinal obstruction 1 month after right nephrectomy and appendectomy due to completely intraluminal migration with spontaneous closure of intestinal wall where the foreign body penetrated. | en_US |
