Renewable energy plays an important role in protecting nature and reducing the dependence of countries on energy. Nevertheless, the possibility of generating clean and sustainable energy from renewable energy sources has attracted interest all over the world. It works with short and long-term relations between Turkey selected by the renewable energy production using annual data for the period 1984-2018 macroeconomic variables being investigated. ARDL limit test was used to determine whether there was a statistically significant relationship between the variables. As a result of the border test, growth, current account balance, net exports and total energy production are the determinants of total renewable energy production in the short and long term. According to Granger causality results; There is a bi-directional granger causality relationship between net energy and current balance. From total energy production variable to total renewable energy production, per capita GDP, net energy, growth and current balance variables, from growth variable to total renewable energy, net energy and inflation variables, from net energy variable to total renewable energy production and per capita GDP There are one-way causality relationships from the current balance variable to the total renewable energy generation variable. On the other hand, robustness tests conducted as a result of the analysis show that there are no autocoleration, changing variance and structural breakage problems in the data.tr
