Muhasebe Derslerinde Öğretme Ve Öğrenme Sorunu: Sivas Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi Muhasebe Öğretim Elemanları Üzerinde Nitel Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Bu tez çalışmasında, muhasebe derslerindeki öğretme ve öğrenme sorunlarını etkileyen faktörlerin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaçlara ulaşabilmek için Sivas Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi muhasebe dersi veren öğretim elemanları üzerinde nitel bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Araştırmada, 11 öğretim elemanına 22 sorudan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış soru seti yöneltilmiştir. Bu sorularda genel olarak muhasebe derslerinin öğrenimini ve öğretimini güçleştiren faktörlerin ve bu sorunların çözümüne ilişkin düşüncelerin tespitine çalışılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulardan hareketle en önemli öğrenme sorunlarının; öğrencinin derse olan ilgisizliği, dersin bu dönemden önce hiç görülmemiş olması, üst sınıfların ders hakkındaki olumsuz telkinleri ile oluşan başarısız olma yönündeki ön yargı ve öğrencilerde oluşan hedef farklılığı olduğu tespit edilmiş; en önemli öğretme sorunlarının; öğrencilerin düzenli olarak derslerine çalışmamaları, öğretim elemanları tarafından öğretim teknolojilerinin aktif kullanılamaması ve öğrencilerin genelinin kariyer planlaması konusunda bilgilerinin olmaması tespit edilmiştir. Bu sorunlar ile ilgili ön plana çıkan çözüm önerileri içinde; öğrencilerin derse olan ilgi düzeylerinin artırılması, öğrencilere bu mesleğe olan ihtiyacın vurgulanması, bu mesleğin kariyer basamaklarının anlatılması, derslerde örneklere ve sorulara daha çok yer verilmesi, teorik bilginin yanında uygulamanın da olması ve öğretim elemanları tarafından daha çok kullanılan öğretim tekniği olan sunuş yoluyla öğretim tekniğinden buluş yoluyla ve/veya tartışma yoluyla öğretim tekniklerine gidilmesi gibi öneriler yer almaktadır.

In this thesis, it is aimed to determine the factors that affect teaching and learning problems in accounting courses. In order to achieve these objectives, a qualitative research has been conducted on the accounting academicians of Sivas Cumhuriyet University. In the study, 11 academicians were asked a semi-structured question set consisting of 22 questions. These questions generally accounting course that complicates the learning and teaching of factors and tried to identify the ideas for the solution of these problems. Based on the findings obtained from the result of research, the most important learning problems were the students' lack of interest in the course, the absence of the course before this period, the negative suggestions of the upper classes about the course, and the prejudice about the failure and the difference in the objectives of the students; the most important teaching problems; it is determined that students do not work regularly, instructors do not use instructional technologies actively and students do not have information about career planning. Among the prominent solutions for these problems are; increasing the interest level of students to the course, emphasizing the need for this profession to the students, explaining the career steps of this profession, giving more space to the examples and questions in the lessons, having more information in addition to the theoretical knowledge and the application by the academicians and teaching technique which is used more often by the academicians, through the invention and / or discussion techniques.
