A new magnetic zeolite was prepared by the chemical co-precipitation of Fe2+ and Fe3+ in the presence of natural Manisa- G ̈ordes clinoptilolite. The adsorption of Basic Blue 41 (BB41) from aqueous solutions on natural and magnetically modified zeolite were studied at 298–323 K in a batch system. Natural and magnetic zeolites were characterized by N2adsorption-desorption, XRD, FTIR, SEM-EDX and VSM analyses. Compared to natural zeolite, SBET-specific surface area of magnetic zeolite increased by modification process. XRD pattern and FTIR spectra of magnetic zeolite showed the characteristic Fe3O4 peaks. Optimum parameters were determined based on the experimental data by investigating the various parameters such as pH, initial dye concentration, adsorbent dosage, adsorbent particle size, contact time, stirring speed and temperature. Adsorption isotherms and kinetics were analyzed using Langmuir, Freundlich, Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R), Temkin, Pseudo first order and Pseudo second order models. Adsorption of BB41 on natural and magnetic zeolites well fitted to Langmuir isotherm and pseudo second order kinetic models. The maximum adsorption capacities of natural and magnetic zeolites were determined as 149.25 mg/g and 370.37 mg/g at 323 K, respectively. Thermodynamic analysis revealed a spontaneous and endothermic nature of natural and magnetic zeolitestr
