Disasters are natural, human or technological events that cause physical, economic and social losses for the whole society or certain segments of the society, interrupt or completely stop normal life and human activities. Earthquake is one of the disasters. Earthquake; These are extraordinary situations that occur unexpectedly, disrupt the life of the society, and cause serious health problems and deaths. Earthquakes affect the health of individuals in many ways. Environmental health problems, psychosocial problems and the problems experienced by individuals with chronic diseases are ignored, while the dimension of those who are injured or killed in an earthquake is generally considered important. Chronic diseases or NonCommunicable Diseases (NCDs) are long-lasting, non-healing, progressive, even causing disability and death; They are conditions that are affected by genetic, environmental, psychological and living conditions, gradually deteriorate the health of the individual and limit the quality of life, and require medical care and treatment. Interruption of medication and medical treatment of individuals with chronic diseases after major disasters such as earthquakes may worsen the course of the disease, exacerbate the disease, and cause the patient to die. There are four main groups among chronic diseases that cause death. These are, respectively, according to the causes of death; cardiovascular diseases (heart attack and stroke), cancers, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes. For example, if an individual with an oxygen-dependent chronic disease cannot find a device or a tube to meet their oxygen needs, they may experience shortness of breath and die within minutes. Similarly, patients with stroke, heart, hypertension, diabetes and kidney failure experience difficulties in accessing drugs and medical devices after major disasters such as earthquakes, so their chronic diseases can get out of control and change the course of the disease. In addition, failure to develop any medical intervention for a patient whose medical history we do not know may result in the patient not receiving the treatment as desired or delaying the treatment. Individuals with chronic diseases affected by the earthquake should be closely monitored and professional support should be provided after the earthquake, and their needs should be met by serving these individuals with a multidisciplinary approachtr
